The place was not packed, walked in, have to order before you sit. Menu on the wall. I ordered the Willy Lee cheese grits, and an orange juice. I like the tables. They are bowling ball lanes. the food was OK, except for the grits. I did not like the grits they are delta grind. (very coarse if you don’t know what that is don’t order the grits they’re very bland. The orange juice was very good.
I probably won’t go here again, but that’s just my taste. I think if you’re vegan or gluten-free, this might be the place for you.
Upon seeing Bob Ross’ photo above the counter as I took a seat at the bar, I immediately knew I was in for a flavorful treat! Atmosphere exhibits shades of a bar, mom & pop restaurant, and homey kitchen wrapped into one cozy, delightful dinning establishment. I had the Willie Lee Biscuit. Admittedly, the thought of berry jam mixed with eggs and bacon initially seemed like a flavor clash; however, I was pleasantly surprised – the jam and bacon were friendly complements! House coffee was excellent. Great service – I’ll gladly return to this hometown favorite!
Look at the paper bag and wrapper - so cute! And a large biscuit with melting butter and peach jalapeño jam! I added slices of avocado on it to make a perfect lunch. Yeah I’ve been here before with my boyfriend and we both loved what we got. A great biscuit-hood gem if you love baking soda style one, specifically.
We preordered online as we were at the car wash next door and needed some grub. As we were waiting we stopped in to the cute coffee shop next door which was convenient. When we walked in, it was pretty quiet and we were 30 minutes early for our order time, but they graciously made it for us right away. Really nice vibes inside and the people were dope. Amazing food, we both ordered the nuptial with honey butter and salt, and I added an egg to mine. The egg was super nicely seasoned and cooked. The biscuit was a tad dry but it made for a perfect sandwich because the harder outer layer made it so that it didn’t fall apart which I really appreciated. The only thing was the honey was everywhere so bring some wet wipes lol <3
In the heart of Ballard is this cool place with some of the best biscuits in Seattle. I got there 5 min before they close on a week day but they were so nice about it. They only had basic biscuits left, which was what i wanted anyway so i was happy.
These biscuits are very generous in size, flaky and buttery in taste. Their jam is soooo good! Next time I'll be back for the sandwiches.
My family comes from the south so I have high standards when it comes to biscuits - one of my favorite breakfast foods. The Seattle Biscuit company lived up to those expectations in quality, value, service, and atmosphere. They have an extensive menu and we enjoyed both sandwiches we ordered though we could not finish either due to the size. Staff was friendly and attentive and the whole place gives off a rustic vibe that fits right with the food. Highly recommend.
Extremely friendly and energetic staff. Best biscuit I’ve had in a long time! We had the Gus and Amy Lees Cousin sandwiches and they were fantastic. Come hungry ☺️
Really homey and cute restaurant. The staff are really friendly, professional and helpful. Menu changes often. Currently 'The Gus' is our favorite. The chicken is so well prepared and tender. Spicing is on point, perhaps a bit heavy on the pickles. So many items to try, you might have to visit more than once. A lot of bar seating, great for singles and small groups. Also tables for larger groups. The biscuits are massive so you get great value for money. Highly recommended.
